Acknowledge points are usually installed outside the alarm zone enabling responders to acknowledge / accept alarms. When an alarm is acknowledged the sounders are muted and all beacons / LEDs are continuously illuminated. This provides user reassurance and facilitates verbal communication.
The unit is fitted with a vandal resistant button which must be held for a minimum of 0.25 seconds to reduce the risk of accidental acknowledge.
If an acknowledged alarm is not reset within the timeout period, usually 2 minutes, the alarm will be reactivated.
The front plate is made from brushed finish stainless steel and annotated in black with the word ACKNOWLEDGE. Alternative finishes and annotation are available on request.
This unit is suitable for mounting in a standard UK, 35mm, single gang back box.
